I am a Lead Product Designer at HomeAway, the vacation rental marketplace, based in Singapore. I also freelance on the sides. Previously, I was a product designer at DBS Bank, based in Singapore. I’ve also worked at Bukalapak.com, and started my career at Oracle designing e-learning products for schools and universities.
On the sides, I have a passion for travel. I was a travel contributor for Yahoo! Indonesia. I also founded and write periodically for a successful Indonesian travel blog called Ransel Kecil, which has been featured in The Jakarta Globe, Jawa Pos, TigerAir-Mandala inflight magazine, InfoKomputer magazine and Her World Magazine Indonesia. I also take pictures over at Snap & Tap.
My main passion is design and user experience. I love solving user experience problems: creating simple solution for complex issues. For me, a good visual communication design works to deliver goals and messages, delights and puts meaning to the audience, in the most minimum effort as possible. I highly believe in spending enough time to find the perfect balance of nothing more, and nothing less; an equilibrium that is both effortless to achieve its minimum goals, yet elaborate enough to touch people’s hearts and minds for a long time.
This website is run on WordPress and Typekit for the font goodness. The typeface used in the headlines and navigation is Fira Sans by Carrois Apostrophe.
My work tools are pencil, pen and paper, MacBook Pro (any kind, really), Apple Keynote for prototyping, Bohemian Sketch or Adobe Illustrator for polishing, Adobe Photoshop for image editing and simple HTML and CSS for quick prototyping.
